Playa Grande,
Costa Rica

Whatever the reason for travel, La Marejada’s central location in Playa Grande, Costa Rica, makes it easy for guests to branch out and explore the many varied surfing beaches, scenic geography and vibrant communities located in our region. Playa Grande, the Province of Guanacaste, and the Nicoya Peninsula has plenty of outdoor activities, wildlife, natural wonder and culture to offer everyone of all ages and interests.

At Parque Nacional Marino Las Baulas de Guanacaste – Tamarindo, guests can find a crucial, unspoiled expanse of beach and riparian habitat dedicated to the preservation of nesting grounds for many species of oceanic turtles. Here, miles of virgin, unspoiled beaches, headlands, coves and wilderness are just waiting to be explored.

Playa Grande is also home to one of the best year-round beach breaks for surfing in Costa Rica. Our hotel, mere steps to the rolling breakers, is in an ideal residence for those wishing to experience the waves on a surf board.
